How To Create An Online Business That Lights You Up

When I first started my online business, I was learning as I went along. I made mistakes and had various doubts along the way. Absorbing information from any place or source I could. Not only did I learn about new topics or new approaches to old ideas, but I also started a very long journey into personal development.  You often hear people say that starting an online business is actually just a big personal development course, and in many ways, they are not wrong. So if you are starting a side hustle or looking to go all in, then creating an online business that actually lights you up is key. It helps you keep going when your motivation is low or you hit a stumbling block. 

There have been many times as a business owner I have felt frustration (Yes, I am a Manifesting Generator). And it wasn’t until I did some hard personal development work and then later discovered human design that everything started to fit into place and make sense. It wasn’t that I need to offer more, or hustle harder. It was about understanding how I wasn’t in alignment with what I was meant to be doing. It was about finding my way back to be in my natural flow with the world. Human Design is a tool that can help you understand yourself on a much deeper level and that can help you create an online business that plays to your strengths. In this blog post, I’m going to share with you what human design is and how it can help you create an online business that lights you up. 

What is Human Design? 

Human design is based on the principle that we are all here to do something specific. There is a reason why we are here and when we align our lives with that reason, we experience fulfillment, joy, and meaning. To find out what your specific purpose is, you need to know your human design type. There are five human design types – Manifestors, Generators, Manifestor Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors. Each Human Design type has its own unique gifts, strengths, and challenges. Or as I like to refer to them – shadows. Once you know your type, you can start making decisions from a place of knowing instead of guessing. This helps you create a life and business that is in alignment with who you are. 

How Can Human Design Help You Create an Online Business? 

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t have a clear idea of what you want your life to look like or what kind of business you want to create. And that’s where human design comes in. It can help you figure out what makes you unique. You can also understand how you give and receive energy from the world around you … and creating an online business needs a lot of energy. I always say Human Design gives you the shortcut to years of personal development, in an instant. Knowing your strengths and challenges allows you to work with them, rather than against them. Often what we are “best at” is so visible to others, yet we can’t see what is right in front of us. Having this knowledge and wisdom allows you to create an online business that lights YOU up. 

Here’s how it works… 

There are nine main energy centers in human design – the crown, ajna or mind, throat, G-center or self, ego or heart, Spleen, Sacral, Solar plexus, and root. Each energy center corresponds to a different area of life – mental, emotional, creative/sexual energy, and so forth. When you understand how you give and receive energy to the world, from these energy centers, it enables you to be in alignment with who you are and everything flows easily. There is also your strategy (depending on your energy type) which is how you can manifest your dreams into reality more effortlessly. However, most people only operate based on what they have learned from others leads to feelings of frustration, overwhelm, and dissatisfaction. Rather than a feeling of alignment and ease. 

For example, let’s say your main energy type is a Manifestor Generator. This means that your strategy to the world should be to respond, visualise, inform, then act. If you try to operate and just take action, rather than responding to what to see or hear around you, it’s going to feel really uncomfortable, because it’s not where your true nature lies. On the other hand, if you try to take action once you have seen that people need that from you, it will feel really satisfying (as that is what alignment feels like for a Manifestor Generator). 

The key is to find out which energy type you are, your strategy, and your authority for YOUR bespoke chart and then focus on those areas. When you do this, everything starts falling into place because you’re finally operating from a place of alignment.
